This series of portraits was created during visits to Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland. Eswatini is a Southern African country, a little smaller than Wales. There are huge differences between the two countries but meeting people from a range of backgrounds made me aware of a striking number of parallels such as the struggle to keep alive a unique local culture and language. The portraits here are of some of people I worked with and met during those visits.
