This series of drawings is of friends and acquaintances I have made through swimming and sunbathing at Highgate Men’s Pond in London. Drawing in the men’s enclosure started as a way to practice sketching the body at rest and later developed into experiments transferring how I work in dry media to a digital platform.
Sunbathing in the enclosure of the Men’s Pond at Highgate has a history extending back over 150 years. Sadly, attempts to monetise the ponds by the City of London Corporation appear to have brought this quirky element of London Life to an abrupt end.
These drawing are available as limited edition signed Fine Art Giclée Prints on Innova Paper. priced from £150 – £200.
